Specially-Abled Artist- Michael Monaco/Monet

Waterlilies- when Michael Monaco was only sixteen years old, he was in a very serious car accident. This accident caused him to have a very serious spinal cord injury which led to him becoming a quadriplegic. He is a painter who paints with his mouth. Monaco is well known for his amazing art paintings and has been in many exhibitions all over the world. He was part of the Association of Mouth and Foot painting Artists. Claude Monet was diagnosed with cataracts in 1912,  and recommended to undergo surgery. He refused. Over the subsequent decade, his ability to see critical detail reduced, as is documented in his medical records.

I had prepared a secondary example, in case the two that took the class on Monday came back. But they all had started Christmas trees…which the second example could have been part of it….oh well. another time.
